The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) will conduct a competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Administrative Officer and Finance and accounts Officer in pay level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix [pre-revised PB -3 ₹15,600 – ₹39,100 + ₹5400 (Grade Pay)] at ICAR Research Institutes in accordance with the rules issued by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

ASRB AO (Administrative Officer) and F&AO (Finance & Accounts Officer) Exam-Pattern

  • There will be Three Stages of the Exam i.e. Tier 1, Tier 2 and Interview.
  • Tier 1 Exam (also called CBT 1) will have Objective multiple choice 200 questions of 1 mark each.
  • The duration of the Tier 1 exam will be 3 hours.
  • Negative Marking will be 1/3.
  • The Tier 2 Exam will be Descriptive in Nature and will have 4 papers.
  • Each paper in the Tier 2 Exam for AO (Administrative Officer) Post will be 150 marks.
  • Paper 1 and Paper 2 in the Tier 2 Exam for F&AO (Finance & Accounts Officer) Post will be 150 Marks for each while Paper 3 will carry 100 marks and Paper 4 will be 200 marks.
  • the duration of each paper will be 3 hours.
  • Tier 3 i.e. interview will be 100 marks.
  • Final Merit will be prepared based on the aggregate of marks (700 marks i.e. Tier 2 marks+Interview marks)
