About Exam Conducting Body

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is a government agency in India that is responsible for recruiting and selecting candidates for various positions within the Indian Railways. The Indian Railway is one of the largest railway networks in the world. There are multiple RRBs distributed across different regions of the country. These boards conduct recruitment exams, including for roles like assistant loco pilots, technicians, station masters, and more. RRB ALP Exam pattern

There are a total of 2 stages in CBT in RRB ALP. CBT 1 & CBT 2. Once the candidates qualify the CBT 1 exam, they will be eligible for the CBT 2 exam. Details are given below.

CBT 1 Exam pattern of RRB ALP

There are a total of 75 questions on the CBT paper 1 exam each question carrying one mark. The time duration for this exam is 60 minutes. Negative marking is also applicable, 1/3rd number will be deducted for each wrong answer.

CBT 2 Exam pattern of RRB ALP

The second stage CBT for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician posts consists of two stages: Part A and B. Part A consists of four subjects – Mathematics, Basic Science & Engineering, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness. Part B consists of questions from the respective trade.

Paper 2 part A consist 100 question and each questions carrying 1 marks. The time duration for part A paper is 90 minutes, 1/3 rd number is deducted for wrong answers. Paper 2 part B consists 60 minutes each questions carrying one mark and 1/3rd number also deducted for wrong answer.
