About SEBI Grade A Exam
SEBI Grade – A Exam is a prestigious national-level exam for the recruitment of Assistant Managers in various streams like General, Legal, IT, Engineering, etc. The objective of the exam is to select qualified professionals to regulate and supervise the securities market.
The selection process comprises three phases: Phase I will be an online screening examination consisting of two papers, Phase II will be an Online examination consisting of two papers, and Phase III will be a personal interview. Candidates are tested on their knowledge of finance, economics, securities and current affairs.
About Exam Conducting Body
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) conducts the SEBI Grade A exam. SEBI is the regulatory authority for the securities market in India and was established in 1988. Grade A SEBI exam is also known as Officer Grade A exam and is conducted by SEBI to recruit individuals for various positions within the organization.
The exam assesses the candidates’ knowledge and aptitude in finance, economics, securities laws and general awareness. Successful candidates in SEBI Exam Grade A are appointed as Assistant Managers and they play a vital role in regulating and supervising the capital markets of India.
SEBI Grade A Exam pattern
In Phase I of the SEBI exam Grade A, candidates undergo an online screening process that includes two papers. The first paper assesses candidates’ proficiency in subjects like general awareness, reasoning, and English language. The second paper focuses on specialized subjects.
After qualifying Phase I, candidates proceed to Phase II, which also consists of two papers that delve deeper into these specialized subjects, testing their expertise in various aspects of the securities market. The Syllabus is given below.
SEBI Grade A Phase – I Exam pattern
Phase 1 exam is divided into 2 papers, each paper carries 100 marks and the time duration is 60 minutes for paper 1 and 40 minutes for paper 2.
