AGNIVEERVAYU Notification 

The AGNIVEERVAYU Exam important dates for the year 2024-25 have been released. Candidates can register and pay the application fee online on the official website between January 7, 2025 to January 27, 2025 for the same. According to the notice, the Phase I Online  Examination will be held on March 22, 2025. The candidate can download the call letter 7-10 days before every examination.   1. Seva Nidhi Package (Exit Benefits)
  • Upon completing the four-year engagement period, the total contribution to the Agniveers Corpus Fund, including the government’s matching contribution, will amount to ₹10.04 lakh (excluding interest). This amount is disbursed as a lump sum upon exit.

  • Insurance Cover: Non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh during the engagement period.

AGNIVEERVAYU Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to appear for the AGNIVEERVAYU exam must meet the following criteria:

  1. Nationality: 

The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male or female.

  1.  Age Limit: 

Candidates born between 1 January 2005 and 1 July 2008 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit on the date of enrollment: 21 years.

  1. Educational Qualifications: 

(a) Science Subjects: 

  • Intermediate/10+2 with: Mathematics, Physics, and English. (Minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English)

OR

  • Three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with: Minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English (in diploma or 10+2).

OR

  • Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics: Minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English (in vocational course or 10+2).

(b) Other Than Science Subjects: 

  • Intermediate/10+2 in any stream/subject: Minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.

OR

  • Two-year Vocational Course: Minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English (in vocational course or 10+2).
  1. Medical Standards:

(a) General Health

  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
  • No active or latent, acute or chronic medical or surgical disability, communicable disease, or skin ailment.

(b) Visual Standards

  • Vision: 6/12 each eye (correctable to 6/6). Maximum Refractive Error: Myopia: -1.0D; Hypermetropia: +2.0D (including ±0.50D astigmatism). Colour Vision: CP-II. Corneal Surgery (LASIK/PRK) is not acceptable.

(c) Hearing

  • Normal hearing: Ability to hear forced whispers from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.

(d) Dental

  • Healthy gums, good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

(e) Height and Weight

  • Male Candidates:  Minimum height is 152 cms.
  • Female Candidates: Minimum height is 152 cms.

(For candidates from North East, Uttarakhand hilly regions: Minimum height is 147 cms. For Lakshadweep candidates: Minimum height is 150 cms.) Weight should be proportionate to height and age.

(f) Chest (Male Candidates)

  • Minimum chest circumference: 77 cms.
  • Minimum chest expansion: 5 cms.
  1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  2. Male Candidates:
  • 1.6 km run: Within 7 minutes.
  • 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 20 squats: Within prescribed time.
  1. Female Candidates:
  • 1.6 km run: Within 8 minutes.
  • 10 sit-ups, 15 squats: Within prescribed time.

6. Body Tattoos:

  • Permanent body tattoos are not permitted, except: Inner face of forearms (inside of elbow to wrist), back/reverse side of palm. Tribals as per their customs/traditions.
  • Offensive, obscene, or indecent tattoos are prohibited.

7. Domicile and Other Certificates

  • Domicile Certificate or COAFP (Children of Air Force Personnel) Certificate must be submitted during Phase II and enrollment.
  • Domicile Categories: Permanent domicile of specific states/UTs. COAFP for children of serving/retired Air Force personnel.

8. Marital Status and Pregnancy (For Female Candidates): 

Candidates must remain unmarried during the four-year engagement period. Female candidates must not get pregnant during the engagement period. Pregnancy will lead to disqualification and discharge.
