Qualification
1. Projects / Operations & Maintenance (O&M):- Project/O&M positions, candidates must possess a full-time four-year BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree with at least 60% marks in Mechanical, Production, Production & Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
2. Finance & Accounts:- CA/ICWA/CMA with minimum 50% marks in the final examination and the prescribed Associate/Fellow membership; OR two-year full-time MBA (Finance) with 50% marks; OR B.Com/M.Com with minimum 50% marks.
3. Other Department-wise Qualifications:- Four-year Engineering Degree / Four-year Civil Engineering Degree / Two-year full-time MBA/MMS/MSW / M.Tech/M.Sc. in Geoinformatics

Selection Process

Exam pattern and selection process
The BGCL Recruitment 2026 selection process will involve initial screening of online applications based on eligibility, educational qualifications, marks obtained in the required qualification and relevant post-qualification experience. Depending on the number of eligible applicants, BGCL may adopt a single-stage or multi-stage selection process. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview before the Selection Committee. Candidates must provide the required supporting documents for verification. Final engagement will be subject to meeting the prescribed eligibility conditions and successfully completing the pre-employment medical examination.

The specific duties will be assigned according to BGCL's business requirements. The following are indicative responsibilities associated with the advertised functions:
- Project/O&M: Support city gas distribution projects, infrastructure commissioning, operations, maintenance and project coordination.
- Finance & Accounts: Manage financial records, accounting activities, financial reporting and finance-related coordination.
- Contract & Procurement: Handle procurement processes, purchase activities, contracts, materials and vendor coordination.
- Civil Engineering: Supervise civil engineering work, construction activities and project-related technical requirements.
- Human Resources: Support recruitment, employee administration, HR operations and personnel-related functions.
- Business Information Systems (BIS): Support company information systems, IT applications and business technology operations.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Work with geographic data, mapping and GIS-related functions associated with city gas distribution.
- Corporate Affairs: Coordinate corporate and project-related administrative and organizational activities.
- Fire & Safety: Support fire protection, safety management, compliance and safety-related activities.
