Selection Process

Exam pattern and selection process
The Oil India Limited Recruitment 2026 selection process differs according to the grade of the post. For Grade B and Grade C posts, selection will consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT) carrying 100 marks, followed by a Personal Interview of 15 marks. The CBT score will contribute 85 marks to the final merit calculation, while the interview will contribute 15 marks. Candidates qualifying in the CBT will be shortlisted for interviews in a ratio of 1:5. The minimum CBT qualifying marks are 50 out of 100 for UR and posts reserved for OBC/EWS, and 40 for posts reserved for SC/ST/PwBD, as applicable.

For Grade A posts, selection will comprise a Computer Based Test of 100 marks followed by a Proficiency/Skill Test carrying 100 marks. The skill test is qualifying in nature, with minimum qualifying marks of 50, and will not contribute to the final merit score. Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a ratio of 1:2. Final merit will be based on CBT marks among candidates who qualify in the skill test.

The CBT duration for both recruitment groups will be 90 minutes. The detailed subject-wise CBT pattern, number of questions and negative-marking provisions are not specified in this advertisement.
